Wowbagger! Behave... there are minors present!
AA, I am sorry... I thought that you might have gathered that I have recently moved to be with another h2g2 researcher called TowelMaster!
It has kept me quite busy to say the least!

(Joanna to name another... I should've paid more attention as this conversation progressed!)

I don't think that would have really helped much, Joanna! I've been paying attention all the way, and I'm still lost!('course that's my normal state!!!)

AA, this is how all (or definitely most) conversations end up in h2g2 - very silly. Diversions will always happen.

Wicked Mike A says...
I am listening to an old Samson album right now. It's called Head On and was released in 1980.
If anybody is ever sick of new bands making aliases for themselves instead of having a real name, then remember that Samson's line-up in 1980 was Paul Saom, Chris Aylmer, Bruce Bruce and Thunderstick.
Bruce is really Bruce Dickinson, of course. The year after this album was released he left Samson to join Iron Maiden.
Now, get this. The ending of Iron Maiden's B-side of Run To The Hills, Total Eclipse, ends exactly the same way as Samson's Vice Versa. These are the only two songs I know to end this way, and I've listened to a lot of stuff
Hardly a surprise that Run To The Hills was on Maiden's first album with Dickinson. He didn't waste time putting good ideas to use did he?
A month ago Dickinson kindly reissued the first four Samson albums, with him on vocals, on his label Air Raid Records. which is why I am able to listen to it today. All hail Bruce
Now AA, how are you?

Oops, I made big mistake.
Samson's founding member and guitarist is called Paul Samson, not that dyslexic fit up there *^_^*

In continuing with the Samson/Iron Maiden theme...
This morning I listened to Iron Maiden's album from 1981, Killers. The first song, The Ides Of March, sounds rather similar to Samson's Thunderburst (also on Head On), at least the first half does.
Would it be just a coincidence that Thunderburst was co-written by Steve Harris, who is Iron Maiden's bass player?
Has Paul Samson (or any other members) noticed this?!

Mike A, i do think that you would make a great writer of events...you do seem to so enjoy relating events and happenings of the musicians of today have you ever considered this as a career option? if not then i suggest that you do
as for what the original topic was...this is not important, what is important is that we enjoy one anothers company .
