The thing I am proud of with the DM page, is that it unites all us old fans, and gives a good few pointers to more DM stuff. Saves a fan having to do all big searches, which is handy.
Hey, this is h2g2, the ultimate repisiwuistory of all knowledge of life on earth! Of course there should be plenty of stuff about Dangermouse in it!

Demon Drawer, one of our first members, wrote a peice. I guess the punters would get a little ticked off if they saw their reading material getting dominated by one thing.

I have a peice of my own in mind though...
For the record, it's a review of Iron Maiden's Metal 2000 gig at Earl's Court, June 16th. I'll be there!

Metal 2000 is the name is Iron Maiden's world tour. Earl's Court is the only UK venue.

Iron Maiden are one of the greatest metal bands around. For a sub-standard article about them read this:

Despite the number of times I go over it, I'm never quite happy...

Thanks Mikesmiley - smiley Thats a good entry. I think so anyway.
Have you thought of doing supporting articles for it? about some of the other bands mentioned in it? Then you could link to and from them in it... just a vague thought.

Auntie! Thank God you're here! Can we help you settle in, help you unpack your books, bring you tea, fluff up your cushions? Somehow I feel safer knowing you've moved in. Welcome.

oh my stars! i do believe that i am going to blush smiley - smiley....this site just keeps getting better and better all the time. i seem to be settling in with little trouble but some help unpacking would be great...it seems i have quite a bit more than i thought and i just can't seem to get everything done.
can you tell me about your name? how did you decide on it and does it have any special meanings? (i seem to be asking this a lot but i guess it is just my curious nature and all)
if you ever need any advice or just want to chat then please feel free to do so, i just love a nice chat over tea smiley - smiley

I bet you can read tea leaves, too!
*begins moving books from cartons to empty shelves* (let's get these up then see how you want them arranged. I know Mike A will want to help you set up your sound system!)

"Asteroid Lil" began life as a pen name, when I wrote a column called Minor Elements in an astrology newsletter for a Mensa SIG. And, like all things that are intended to be, once she came to life she stayed. I think when people assume 'handles' online, they are projecting part of themselves that doesn't fit their everyday persona for one reason or another; Asteroid Lil has that little smatter of Mae West that I myself wouldn't be caught dead evincing!

So perhaps we have just a little bit in common: our pen names have come home to roost, yes?

Have you always had a predilection for agony wrangling?
Lil

I've got a few articles for bands mentioned, they've all been submitted. Also, I've got something going that lists all the lineup changes '75-'81, but it's hard work doing it!

Hi Lil smiley - smiley

AA you have had an amazing response to your homepage already! You must be so chuffed with yourself (well, that goes without saying!)

Agh. Books.
I have a James Herbert book still unread after five months, and I've got three others on the go right now. Plus a good few magazines I haven't finished reading. Ouch!

i have always enjoyed reading though i must admit i have not had much time to do so lately, something i must correct smiley - smiley. i feel that books are movies for the mind, what i mean is that when you read a book (really read on not just look at the words) you are able to see the charactors and places in your head. one of my favourites is 'The Neverending Story' because of the story it tells smiley - smiley. it tells of a place that exists only in your mind and shows what happens to this fantastic world when people leave reading and their imaginations behind.

I love to read.... I think that radio drama can also give you that movie feeling, too... my mother hates when things get transferred from radio to television because the people are never how she imagined them to look like... I find its the same from books to screen (whether tv or movie) too...
The people always seem *right* in my own mind.

I liked Mrs Frisby & The Rats of NIMH...or rather the film they made of it. Jonathan Brisby really sparked my imagination off...I have written and said so much about him!
Yup, that film really had a profound effect in my life. Seriously, it did!
