Eloquent yeah right...
To change the subject completely I would be interested to know where you stand on the "Evolution versas Creationism" debate. It's relevent to the forum discussion as Kansas State Education board banned the teaching of evolution in schools because the creationists demanded it.

Evolution, ever since I did a report on the Scopes Trial. (darn fundamentalists)BTW, if you ever need any information on that trial, i'm thinking of writing a guide entry on it.
I wasn't aware kansas had banned it, just thought about banning it.

Rehash, your point is well taken.....but I must state here that I have aquired many good ideas from inexperienced people. This, because no one told them it couldn't be done that way.
It never hurts to listen....as long as the person you are listening to does not have the power to force their will!
Thinker....if you wish to use anything I say, I would be honored!

Out of curiousity, FS(ACE), where are you? Time zone wise, i mean, in relation to EST or GMT. I want to know only so I can approximate your online time. I am in Eastern Standard right now.

Gardendale, Alabama......5 miles north of Birmingham.

Thought you might like to know exactly what Kansas education board did on the evolution front. The following quote come from the 'New Scientist' magazine (22/04/00) which ran a large feature on the subject.
'Last August, the Kansas State Board of education-which included several fundamentalists-rejected the school currriculum standards written by it's scientific advisers. The list it adopted in it's place was secretly written by Tom Willis of the Creation Science Association of Mid-America.
It deleted all references to evolution or the big-bang, and inserted fundamentalist material. For instance, the original standards defined science as seeking "natural" explantaions. That was changed to "logical" explanations, which can include supernatural explanations . The revision also says-incorrectly- that "natural selection... does not add new information to existing genetic code". Willis believes that dinosaurs lived in the US until late in the 19th century, and his school standards ask students to "analyse hypotheses about extinction of dinosaurs" and "Show the weaknessses in the reasoning"'
No wonder that scientists are scared. If this crap can get into the curriculum what can't?

I see no good that can come of that. On subject....it's a good thing that there is a national Forum which understands that this is garbage!(And I thought Alabama was a backwards state!)
For you, Thinker.....bet you never heard this one!
