...or whatever smilies we now have...
I knew I could rely on you for straight talking.
The people I am closest to in real life say the thing they love most about me is that I'm not scared to p*ss people off and shake things up...
But I get your drift...

Liking things like 'The Prisoner' probably doesn't help...

"I'm not scared to p*ss people off and shake things up"
You do, however, appear averse to the predictable consequences of p***ing people off and shaking things up here.
You further appear bright enough to link action and consequence and take responsibility for both.
And liking the Prisoner is no problem. I wrote the h2g2 entry on that, as it goes. I was also in Number 6's house about a month ago...

I always imagine people here will react like my closest real life mates and take it as a type of jamming to move forward creatively.
That all it does is lead to pettiness and negativity upsets and depresses me. I want this place to flourish. I'm a Romantic fool.
I can't at present link real life with this place. I'm not alone.

I went to Port Merion as a kid. Brill place. I knew of course you'd be a 'Prisoner' fan. I'm not totally thick.
What do you do in his house..?

"I always imagine people here will react like my closest real life mates "
Why? Never mind.
What I did in his house was
(a) bought a retro trimphone and
(b) sat in a replica of Number 2's ball chair, like this... http://www.portmeiriononline.co.uk/product.asp?id=28405&random=560940&cid=35&scid=35 ... and seriously considered buying one.

I'm needing more help from you man. Seriously.
anhaga doesn't know what to do. He's a good guy you know that. Calm and rational.
They will ban me I think soon.
I try to be real and humorous and cheeky.
I'm starting to think not posting at all is the only way to stay unbanned.
(I need this place because of my psychological vulnerability. But they just keep disappearing my posts...

There's a social standard here, just like everywhere else. The social standard here is different to that on Facebook, or b3ta, or TheRegister, or AVForums.com. If you can conform to the social standard, fine. If not, you'll be banned. If you don't like the social standard, and don't want to conform to it, well...
You "try to be real and humourous and cheeky". How's that working out? One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If you value the ability to post here, try to be unreal, tone down the humour, and stop being so cheeky. Clearly, on current evidence "real and humourous and cheeky" as you define it is not welcome here. Still see the place as important to you?
Type out a post, and then hit the "Back" button instead of "Post". I do that all the time.

The social standard here seems to have suddenly violently altered.
Haven't you seen the stuff the Canadians are saying?
I can assure you lots of people are completely bamboozled by how it is.
That's fine if the new people want a change. But why don't they come out and spell out in honest black and white how it is here now?
People that have built up a *relationship* with a site over many years are going to be badly disturbed even without a mental health issue.
I feel like going to the media about it sometimes.
Peckham is a disaster area for people. Stuff like this keeps us going.
I've never had any interest in any social media sites except this one...because of the DNA philosophy.

"Haven't you seen the stuff the Canadians are saying?"
No. Link?
"People that have built up a *relationship* with a site over many years are going to be badly disturbed "
People that have built up a relationship with something they don't pay for, never have paid for, and aren't being asked to start paying for, have unfortunately misinterpreted the nature of their relationship.
"I feel like going to the media about it sometimes"
Yeah. Because the media have a history of treating nerds with mental health problems sensitively and respectfully.
"I've never had any interest in any social media sites except this one...because of the DNA philosophy."
Hate to burst the bubble, but the DNA philosophy was, from day 1, "let's see if we can build something we can sell by getting other people to populate it with content for free".

I'm thinking that F110768?thread=8288967 is what is being referred to as 'the Canadians'. Mind, from another page,
( A1037323 ) those few are a pretty slim measure of us Canucks that pass by this site. Not at all representative, in fact.
Key: Complain about this post
