Because sometimes, compaies/websites/people think that they are making things better by making things harder/worse for the majority of us (I know that there were a few sites I used to access a lot that all of a sudden you had to pay to get the info...it's annoying)

Those books are bloody briliant, aren´t they.
Though they are not my farvorite, cus the best books ever made are the hitchikersguide to the galaxie-series!!!
There should be a international law, that would state that everyone no matter gender, sexuallity, belifes or race, had to read these books!
Yeah, and the harry potter books and Lord of the Ring are also cool.

discworld are great!
hhgttg are, of course, brilliant, but i think i'm starting to prefer discworld 
as for a law on everyone reading them, well, then we wouldn't be able to feel all superior for being some of the few people who read them and appreciated them 
anyway, not everyone has the same taste in books...
lord of the rings are reeeeeally good, but i do'nt much like the hobbit...the silmarillion is interesting...
and harry potter is just hyped-up average...
