Today my brother took part in running a half-marathon for a cancer charity in Nottingham.
I went along with family for the moral support and naturally, I took ma' camera.
I was using my 'nifty fifty' lens as I can get some interesting distortions and the lack of a zoom would be a challenge of composition.
And so it proved.
As my brother emerged from the throng and sought us out at the barricade having completed his run, he was stood very close to me, and I was hemmed in at the side and at the back so couldn't move further away.
Pivoting on the spot, I've ended up with some nice portraits of my family, inadvertently breaking a photographic rule for good effect - letting the portrait break the frame.
Unintentional but I really like how these have turned out.
