hmmm very interesting. I'll need to find a flattering photo that show my best side of course!

I think it's a lovely idea. It has been suggested to put my album on 'ask h2g2' or in the Post but I think people would be less willing to have their photos in the gallery if this were the case. I prefer to let it grow naturally by word-of-mouth.

Also, it is actually my h2g2 friends photo gallery. And I think I would like to keep it as such.

I am impoverished and over-worked. essay deadlines and a distinct lack of pennies mean it might be a while coming.

I might re-install my webcam and take a quickie photo I just need to find the space and time to do it.

Shot of me and my girlfriend Amy+ (U50994) on a visit to H2G2 towers inside the BBC. I'm the one at the end in the blue shirt - with the (then) slightly larger team of H2G2 Italics.

That is a wonderful photo, Clive! Unfortunately I wouldn't feel right putting in the gallery without the permission of everyone in the photo, unless you can vouch that they truly wouldn't mind.

So Amy is your girlfriend! Is this yet another hootoo romance or did you know her before? Oh, I do love romantic stories!

Anyhow, let me know if you are sure everyone in the photo would feel fine about being in the gallery.

I shouldn't think they'd mind, I've had in up for public display on yahoo for over a year...

I first met Amanda on h2g2 that is true, so technically we are a h2g2 romance. although we really got to know each other outside of h2g2 on MSN instant messenger.

Our romance is slighty hampered by a tiny thing called the Atlantic Ocean, Amanda lives in the state of Pennsylvania, and I reside in humble ol' Blighty. Which is a source of endless frustration, still she's scheduled to fly here next month for two weeks in July and I am due over there for Xmas. And so it goes.

Eventually we'll both end up on the same land-mass for long enough to claim asylum and live happily ever after. or at least that's the plan.

If you like gushy romance, remind me to give you the full version one of these days 'cos I've had offices weepy over me and amanda.

Oh, that is such a lovely story, Clive! And yes, brings a lovely tear to the eye, to know people love each other so much that they are willing to overcome whatever things hinder them.

Okay, I will put up the photo with a disclaimer that this was approved by you, okay? As you say, if they had agreed to have it on your Yahoo site for so long they shouldn't mind. Though perhaps some might not like it more 'close to home' here on hootoo. Well, I can always delete the photo if anyone says they don't want it there.

that last link won;t work now I've deleted the photo, I'm going to try cropping it myself the yahoo cropping tool is rubbish!

I was only able to open one of those photos - and a very nice one it was! So it is now in the gallery.

Yeah, duh, I kinda worked that out afterwards - somtimes it takes me awhile! Old age, doncha know.

I do like how the pages are coming together. I just hope that someone from page two or three doesn't suddenly tell me they want me to remove their photo because this will send all the 'balance' for a total burton!

But so far so good . . .
