Hallo AXR!
Tavaron da Quirm - Arts Editor Started conversation Jun 7, 2005
Hi, I'm the head of the German Department and want to ask you whether you want to become a member. We've always got great fun and you don't have to do anything but coming to the Department now and then (but hopefully more often) to take part in the conversations and in the game.
The thread where you can register:
F1832046?thread=431829
Just post your U-number and that you are a speaker (I suppose), you could also be a teacher, but unfortunately we don't have any active learners...
You've already found the speaking-thread and the game, so there is no need to give you the links I think.
hmmm... was vergessn?...ah
:
You have to translate everything you say in German in the same post you write it (this wans't English, was it? But you understand what I want to say). That's because of the House Rules and to make it easier for non native spaekers.

Hi tavaron,
thanks for invitation and it's nice to see there still some german spoken at h2g2. We had a nice group before the language rule came at A478055 and it still exists a yahoogroup (look at the site), but both is not really alive at the moment.
There are still survivors like TC U154942 and we plan a h2g2-south-germany-movie-meet-up at F36649?thread=390519&post=7167985#p7167985
see you at TLT

Hi!
I just read what B'Elana said in the link you gave me. She invited me to the Department and now I somehow feel like we have driven her away.
Kat on the other hand is very happy that we managed to appear on the front page among the busiest conversations.
Do you alredy know when and where this meet will be? I'm not sure whether I have any time anyhow, just interested to know which day I shall feel bad.
I've found this German page already when I searched for some German speaking people. For me it looked like a ghost town, I'm sure that I even saw some tumbleweed.
see you

Yes it died when the BBC got h2g2 and they introduced the language rule and as you can see it was founded more then five years ago, so a lot of the researchers went other ways, but there are still some more or less active.
It would be nice to have a place where the german speaking part of the community or people who live in Germany could come together. Although I don't think the A292448 will be what it was ...
At the moment there is no exact date for the meet-up

Hallo AXR!

We should make a new page. There are several researcher groups of different countries, why not creating one for german speakers again?
I'll go to this meeting-conversation now, we'll see what you decide
BTW: If you happen to be a Terry Pratchett fan: we just started a conversation and a BC Johnson design contest F2019698?thread=652088
(right now it's still possible to read the blog)

Hey!
As you registered as a teacher: here's the beginners thread, where we teach (and suddenly there seems to be something to do)
