Well it all depends on what you believe really, some people say that dreams are random bits of memory shoved together, others say it's the method in which your subconscious desires try to contact your concious self.
I personally believe the former because none of my dreams make any sense, either that or my subconscious is barking mad. You could try to interpret your dream however that field of psycology is cobblers as it will probably come to the conclusion that you are gay.

Oh well that could be your subconcious saying that should not make the same mistake twice or that you've been watching too much anime and you've convinced yourself that this sort of romantic fate thing happens.
You should approach her with a common interest, see if the girl from the past has a similar démure to the woman of the present. You never know, fate might be right.
