Hi there
It's real nice to have you back!!! :-0
Apparently our old converses will be returned when they have been "moderated" - I reckon it'll take some time though
I haven't caught up with my other chats for just over a week now - time flies, must get down to some proper mailing.
Well, well, I wonder what's happened to Katsy?
Be seeing you
Shirps

Never mind about our old stuff...RRRRRRRRRRRRR
I'm going to bitc* about the wink face...looks like an industrial accident! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR That WAS my fav.
Come on over to the Pub & we'll drink away our woes...just click onto my name & you'll see the link...unless they've botched that as well...not a complaint, mind you...just an observation

Will get there - dying for a real good booze, but too much work & hand pain at present, so see you in a few days or so.
Shame about Katsy
Take care

Shirps...I feel I MUST tell you...booze will KILL the pain! Trust me!
I fell out of a moving sports car one St Patrick's Day & never felt a thing. (Well, at least before a "friend" insisted to wash out my wounds with RUBBING alcohol.) And I never did find the rest of my panyhose...

Shirps Posted Apr 26, 2001
Ahhh! But what a waste of alcohol - I prefer it down my throat, but then I'd be too sozzled to do any work any way
Do you often lose your pantyhose ... or was this a one-off? :-0

Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end. We'd sing and dance forever and a day...~Peace~

Tie dye clothes? Still wear them occasionally! Could never manage to dye them myself though - always a mess!
Mary Hopkins - ah yes, I remember it well!
What news from your part of the world? Anything earth shattering?

Not really...I'm doing 'Readings' in a Shop about 5 miles from my cabin! Getting a few $5 tips
I can tye-dye!!! It's fun...then I 'fringe' the bottom of the tee-shirt, for the ladies. All you need do to 'fancy-up' a tee is to cut the bottom hem off...start in the middle & cut through front & back right in the middle. (not too high, or you'll be showing your breasts) Then just cut evenly from sides to the middle & you can either let the fringe hang there & with each washing it will start to roll...or you can tie on knot, or two - or three...you can even get really fancy & tie a bead at each knot!
I started doing these shirts for a lady friend who has a rather large bottom...the top was always too big so the bottom would fit.
Now she has nice fitting shirts as the fringe is VERY forgiving of an over-sized bottom
Oh & I did a reading for a VERY good looking YOUNG MAN...he was pleased with the reading, however, he said he didn't want to be my 'client' he wants to be my friend. (fine) HA! THEN he asked me out on a date! AH-HAA! Turns out he's 22!!! *giggle*
When I told him I am twice his age he didn't believe me! HA-HA!
Bear says it's not JUST my dark hair that makes me look young -
it's all that expensive goo I put on my face & body all the time!
Guess you get what you pay for!
When I finally stopped laughing, I told the YOUNG MAN that even if I wern't old enough to be his mum...I'm married. He didn't seem to care...guess it'll be interesting for awhile at the shop.
Today I feel 95! I feel asleep sitting straight up at the computer all night...did you know that it makes your feet swell?!? *wink*

Sorry to bring you down, but I just heard on the 11pm news (Sat) that Douglas Adams passed away from a heart attack yesterday
People have been leaving their condolences on DA's page.

That's one way of looking at it I suppose. I wonder if there is any way of calling up someone living if your're dead? I mean - strange that the guy that "invented" the smiley passed away only about a month ago.
I suppose all is coincidence - like I was a singing "I saw a mouse, where? There on the stair, right there. A little mouse with clogs on, well I declare, going clip clippity clop on the stair, oh yeah" - you know the song? Well 2 days later - we have a VISITOR. Only it ends up that it's not a mouse, but a RAT!! Poor thing had to be knocked on the head, but Holly & I heard it squealing in fright - I can't get the sound out of my head.
I used to keep pet rats, so you can imagine how I felt!! However, I have now wrecked myself trying to clear it's store cupboard out from under the kitchen units - it got through half a big tin of Holly's biscuit meal, but there it was all stored. Poor thing must have worked it's socks off! R reckons he was going to invite his Mrs. in & then babies, but I think it was young lonely male. The fathers tend to kick them out of the nest when they are of age.
R was away when the first strange things happened - like an old mug of mine getting smashed at 3.30 in the morning! The next night Holly wouldn't settle - she was up with me, so kept me awake all night too! In the morning - oh boy - it had got braver & knocked things down all over the place. R came home & bought 2 mouse traps - yeah, we still thought it was a little mouse. Next morning, nothing, but a big whole in Holly's tin & .. poohs!!
There's an overrun garden behind us, so we reckon that's where it came from.
Enough of that - R has nearly finished papering & painting the hallway, Wednesday the carpet gets laid - ooh, lucky carpet Then we get everything out of Liz's room, back into the spare room. She comes home Fri night & on Monday, Liz & I are going to see Les Miserables in London - we've even booked an overnight stay in a hotel. This is something we've wanted to do for years, so now's the time!! We've got the doors stripped, but will deal with those when I get back from London, or rather I'll help decide what to do & R will actually do it!!
R's 60th is soon (9 June)& his "party" will happen - quite a few of his old friends are coming, so it'll be like a reunion!!
All for now - I changed the heading to Pandora, so it's clearer on my home page - if you see what I mean?
Got your e - sounds like a rough time, but as always you seem to be pulling through
LoL

Oh, you & Liz must have had a wonderful time!!!! Lucky girls!
Watch the papers & such...I'd completely forgotten my friend Mike Thomas has been producing plays in and about London!
Funny about the rodent...last night I heard my cat Precious running throughout the cabin...when she came into view she was playing Hockey with a poor wee mouse...then Belle was running after Precious! It was so funny! And Precious let the little bugger go...right behind the counter! They must be friends!
But stranger still...one of my old mugs came crashing down it was about 2 am...I loved that old thing, had a three mast clipper ship on it!
I'll await your E...I want details!! ~hug R for me please! And a hello to Liz!~xox Pan

My mug was white with small gold stars, a red handle in the shape of a ribbon tied in a bow and 2 little white & gold birds kissing each other on the side of the mug - aaaaah! Never mind, it harked back to the "bad old days", so maybe it was a good thing, but it was perty
Which plays is your friend involved with?
Hug R? Hmmmmm! I suppose I'd better as he's being working SO hard!! Out to the station for a couple of pints tonight - so maybe afterwards
Lol

Are there ever any single YOUNG MEN at the Station?!?
Oh & a looooooong time ago you asked what color my nail polish is...I'm wearing lavender at the moment. If I put another coat of polish on it will become purple. And I've gotten the very top of my ear pierced! Nice 24kt gold ball. Didn't even hurt! Of course I WAS using hypnosis! HA! Kept saying,"My ear's a block of wood, my ear's a block of wood, etc.!"
Anything to tick the BEAR off! ha!

Shirps Posted May 22, 2001
Ahem! Not that I know of!
Ah! Painted paper in hall was supposed to be blue, but hey that's cold, so bluey-mauve, got a feeling if it had been up to me it may have turned out purple - ha! My bedroom back in London ended up with wet-look purple paint on shelves & windows.
Nails having a "bad" time at present - splitting all over the place - any remedies???
Nope, still won't have thrid piercing in upper ear - Liz's turned real nasty, so not going to risk it, although I'd love one of those Bejorin (Deep Space Nine) loop rings.
So how have you ticked Bear off?
Sorry for any typos, 2 & alf pints later - pheeeww!
