Not to worry - hope to go back for October: decorating & .... more gardening!! Got rather clawed on my arms by the stinging nettles & blackberry brambles as I tried to cut them back - the sun was shining though

Daughter & boyfriend are in the middle of buying a flat near where they both are working. Their side will be ready by end of Sept (when L has to get out her present accommo), but ..... noone can contact the chap who is selling the place, so they don't know if he's found somewhere or what!!!

Dad got a little better while we were away - he's begun, rather weakly, shouting at the staff again No response to us though.

Oooh, also found a hairdresser living one road away at the coast & she's cut my hair shorter, not short, but shorter & actually did what I wanted for only £6, locally it costs £11!! She agrees with me that it would look good with some highlights, so if we go back in Oct I'll get her to do them - just in time for Rrrrr's son's wedding!!!

Yay!!! I shall make a note to myself to write a note to check the mental note I made to myself to send you my address.
It's been a loooooong week & getting longer as it's the Labor Day Holiday starting thru Monday....I've been asked to help serve sandwiches & beer during the Village festable Er, So, if you don't hear from me for a few days...I'll be hiding in the deep in the my pool

I came across a postcard of the town I live in & thought, saying to Rrrrr, I'll post that to Pandora!!! When you eventually get it, don't imagine it REALLY looks like that - someone must have gone round & smartened up everything I'll post it on Wednesday & one from the coast when we go there again. What fun!!!! ahem, ahem, coughs with sarcasm! No, really hope you like the contact.

You should see my KILLER thumb-nail!!! I swear it's as handy as a Swiss Army Knief!!! I've trimmed all my other nails to a 'sensible' length.but I just let my right thumb-nail grow! Now I must be careful...I could put an eye out with that thing!

Hmmmmm, sometimes I wonder if I am psychic - loads of "coincidences" keep happening - I keep meaning to write them down!!! One of bosses described me as being very "astute" - I guess it's the same sort of thing. No, really it's obvious, that kindof work can be draining, i.e. listening to people & their probs.

My mum lives in the same town! We took her to the coast with us - that's from where I'll post a postcard. Put mine in an envelope too - R reckoned it had more chance of getting to you. Post Office said it made no difference - hey ho!

I've just cut all mine right down - they're beginning to stop peeling if I keep them short Maybe falsies? I did try them once, but they fell off during the evening!! There is a thread on nails: A553727 Nailpolish - got into it by mistake, they could do with your info on the horse stuff!!

Bear & I had a good laugh when all the post cards from all over the World began to arrive...my nephew 40 miles away sent me a card & it never got here!! AAAAAh-HHHAA! I guess the Postal Peps. think it MUST be VERY important if it comes from another Country!! Whatever works...I think I sahll tell 'Aaron' to send his next card via England!!!
Think you could stand a visit from me in 3-4 years?!? That's when I plan to be in the UK.
As we both know...life is what happens when you're planning something else...

R & I sent loads of postcards from Egypt, but no-one received them - we posted them on the boat & wonder if there was a hole in the bottom of the letterbox & if they went straight into the Nile!!!! I don't think anyone believes that we sent any.

HA! I oughta' show that last posting of yours to about a dozen people I sent post cards to from Tortola. The British Island I finally made sail from on The Flying Cloud. A three mast clipper.
I had been wined & dined by Sent. Bob Dole & his loverly wife Liz & their daughter & their stokebroker 'Mike' *begins to dream about Mike...the only man she's ever met who knew she was wearing Alieage by Estee'...ahh...the stars were close enough to touch...we dined in an open Courtyard. The Twin's Garden Courtyard on St. Thomas...he fed me truffles...snaps back...* as I was saying, I sat in that courtyard for the longest lunch I've EVER taken alone.
I wrote to EVERY SINGLE person from my Village who asked me to & a few who didn't know I had gone away. Twords the end I was writing things like: Glad you're not here, Love, Val

I THEN discovered duty free booze
I shopped & drank & bought 150% Island made rum
Thank goodness for the Duffy brothers...Mike & Keith who were from England but running a Dive Shoppee on Tortola. We met on the Ferry Dock. That was THE drunkest I have EVER been & that is truely saying alot! When that adventure was done...well actually only begining...that was just the 1st leg, as it were. I remembered the post cards as I was exiting a taxi right at the deck of the ship! (Last thing I knew, I wazzzz...in trouble for not having some sort of paper & no passport...through the mountian & jungle on a bus with no sides...they held me in as I grabbed a banannas, etc..) Post cards in the outter pocket of my duffle bag...

The post card to my mom arrived weeks after I returned...I was there Jan-March 1980. But the stuff I bought whilst on St. Thomas arrived home about 2 weeks after I had called my mum.
She was so certain I would be eaten by a ... can't imagine why... But most peps never got their cards *sigh*

I just sat here from 7 pm - mid-night & the crisis line never rang! I even checked it to be sure the phone was okay? Wonder if the Powers That Be...are giving me a break?
