From One Researcher To Another
I was always told to start with a joke so here's my current favourite:
What's ET short for?
Cause he's got wee legs.
I think about half the people will read that and laugh the other half will make a face, oh well never mind. Now that the joke is out the way onto the gruesome details.
I'm a Scot. I live in the terminally rainy country of Scotland- birthplace of lots of really useful things and lots of less useful things- a Scot invented logarithms and we're all really grateful of that aren't we? Seriously though it's a wonderful place and if you've never been- come and see us, have a drink with us and stay a while.
I'm a hoarder, if you give me a gift i'll keep it, if i buy a magazine i'll file it. You name it I've probably still got it (apart from things that decompose, i do try but the smell is usually just too much.)
I'm a student and it's a wonderful life- no taxes, late starts, classes three days a week for 28 weeks a year- 7 weeks holiday at christmas, a licence to go out drinking 7 nights a week and discounts everywhere. Its a hard life but someone has to do it.
Everything else will become clearer over time and the Izzard inside me escapes.
