Have a little time right now...My son was here & I can bring up 2 windows, {maybe more} decrease there size and have them side by side....Good to know not to try to have visiters name show up in my( Welcome.....to my world...}..::I am not thinking of changing much...I'll just add stuff like list:==..my interests, favorite quotes...Have to be back later.......About skins: I do not much like the look of Classic Goo Alabaster is neat & clean..nice..But brunel,to me, is warm & comforting..I like the black...I am a nite person..~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

#1.....QUESTION::To change my space--when I am ready to do it-would it just be easier to delete everything on my page and start fresh????? I will also very much want to add a box? ,window? or whatevere to invite a visiter to leave a message..and later.....a drop down box for stuff....(much later}
#2.....Question:: At the moment, would it be possible to go to picture gallery and cut & paste a picture into my space..That would be SO0oooo easy......??

OOOpppppssss I forgot something very important....

After you click 'Edit Page' on your space, you need to scroll down and click [dot]'GuideML' and 'Change Style' for the GuideML version to work.

I went over to edit and add the word --"but--after the word webcam..ie; but if it is nitetime....
Now when I return to my space it is my old version.....But your version is still in the edit box....
and at top of page it says "this is a Preview of entry" I sure hope I have not lost all of your hard work....
I clicked the update intoduction --box ............
The link you gave me, comes up Permission Denied & You do not have permission to delete this Guide Entry........

Hmmm i think maybe, you tried to add 'but' before you posted it to your Space, I didn't realise I'd lost 'but' i've added it.

Just had another read of your questions in post 21

'Add a box', I assume you mean a Guest Book, like I have on my space, yes, when you get a little used to GuideML. I'll help you do that.

Picture from gallery, yes, when you have changed to GuideML. Copy the text next to the picture you'd like, and paste where you'd like it.

BBC copyright issues, no off-site pictures. There are exceptions sometimes, but I'm not sure what the circumstances of the exceptions are.

"Special character codes in GuideML"..yes, they are used. It's probably a bit out of date, as upgrades have been done, more can be transfered from Word to GuideML without having to change them, as used to be the case...but try inserting & in GuideML, you'll find you need to use special character code.

"lay it out in Canvas" Sorry, don't understand that.

You mention Keeper at the end, do you know we have a Keepers Page, A441596 and I'm Keeper of Keepers, if you'd like to make your Keeper Title 'official' please let me know.

Did you get some sleep 6? hours ago..?? I am back after watching some evening TV.....I had a lot of this righten & then pulled up your link for the Keeper line & then lost my posting somewhere..so am starting over....Have put in my request and went back to Lady Scott to let her know I was in the loop..ie; not lost...
Yes,By an add a" Box" to my space..I meant some means by witch( that word doesn't look right, I'm getting tired) that you can invite a guest to leave a message..That's important..It seems I have seen different methods ....
#1.-Your copy & past answer was good news...I will try to use restraint & not use all of them.....Now when I click edit page--click{ dot} GuideML, then click change style..1,2,3, OK...Now before I bring over a picture, do I have to type-- at the top of page--- and at the bottom..??

Wild life::I feed the birds & squirrels: scrub Bluejays,are here all the time... In the fall will see a Mountain Bluejay.passing through.they are very handsome, & the red eyed towhee.A pair..make a short visit in the fall & spring.....they peck around the ground in a very busy fashion and when they fly up their tail spreads out a lot, they seem to sail...and then show a flash of white tail feathers .Flickers. Flocks of little sparrows, often...Do not see many Finches any more...Startlings.many, many of them..Not a native...brought to New York City in1890-91 from England,by a man who wanted every bird mentioned in Shakespear..Robins in summer..Not far away, on the Columbia & Willamette Rivers are Herons.Eagles,Osprey...Downtown we have a few Perigin Falcons [and lots of pigeons for them to lunch on.....]
Have 2 kinds of squirrels in my yard and 4 nests....the redish brown Douglas and little grey squirrel..No, do not picture the big pretty grey squirrel...These are native, small and children will think they are babies..They are about twice the size of a chipmook....I put peanuts out almost every day for them...And in the fall they sure eat the red berrys off the Enlish Hawthorn tree....None left for the birds...
And then there is the Racoon that comes through after midnite...I do not feed them, I bring in the dog food at nite... You would have too many then & they would not be healthy..I 'm sure he must find buried peanuts, tho....They are so pretty, so fluffy..move so softly...You really want to pick him up...Some people do not like them, which upsets me...I like to coexist...they were here first, but if you leave your cat out at nite , it is in danger...they tip over your flower pots looking for slugs..I think that is great..If you do not build you fish pond right , they eat the fish.{I do not have one, if I did, I would put fish in there for them].One evening he was on the front porch & I got down on my knees & we were looking eye to eye through the glass front door ,,,A couple years ago there was a mother with 3 babies that would come just at dusk....If I was outside, I saw to it that I went indoors before she came...One evening I looked up and over my old moss covered garage was one of the babies hanging over the peak of the roof with one paw hanging forward, so relaxed, watching me so intently..I have a big cherry tree & an Italian plum tree...so they come for the fruit....Also have a huge Douglas fir tree....I do not have an extra big lot..It just seems like it...If you like this sort of thing , there is a wonderful book, my favorite, enjoyable to read...Too me it should be put next to your bible or whatever..THAT IMPORTANT....."Noah's Garden" by Sara Stein...Restoring the ecology of our own back yards.....A very gentle book reconciling the needs of nature and of gardens..If you spray the caterpilars we lose the butterflies..We cannot decide who gets to stay aboard the ark.....It is a beautiful book to read, you will be glad you did...The balance of Nature....
By for now, gingersnapper, Keeper of Lot of Stuff.....It will come in handy, if I never use it..!!

The easiest thing for you, maybe to start your Space from scratch, and gradually add what you'd like on it.

As soon as you delete the current page, you can change to GuideML, It will automatically add the basic and tag and you can add your first picture.

Don't worry about character codes, most of them are up to date.
