True, but people make rooms out of Iron all the time and Hematite is Iron ore so put 2 & 2 together and we use hematite every single day of our lives. Steel is 98% iron so the next time you use a Knife, fork, spoon, ladel, spatula salad prong or even the personal favourite of many, the spork you will know hematite has been used. It brings a tear of pure pride to my eyes

Hematite funfact #2 of 10:Hematite ("hei-daan") is a facinating stone. Black or dark gray, it has a deep luster that seems to glow from within. On the Mohs hardness scale hematite rates 5-1/2 to 6-1/2.
Ancient peoples sometimes used hematite crystals as mirrors; indeed, the Latin name for hematite, "specularite," means "mirror." The word hematite derives from the Greek word for "blood," because when the stone is cut, the coolant is colored red. In fact, hematite is often found with reddish bands of other meterials.
The stone is found in England, Germany, Scandinavia as well as Spain, Brazil and New Zealand.
Hematite has been used to decrease inflammation, drawing out heat from a feverish part of the body. It is said to dissolve negative energy and to work as a shield of armor for any person or thing! Sorry for such a long paragraph but I hope I have enlightened you all on the wonders of hematite. PS MERRY CHRISTMAS yay mistletoe woohoo
