smiley - sorry I thought Ripley was just another skin. I have no idea what is what. Obviously smiley - shrug

I use Alabaster but check with Pliny to see if there are unanswered threads.

Sympathetic magic translated into symbol, I think.

You toss out the anchor, it lands with a clang!, alerting people to refocus on topic, stopping drift.

I'd rather see a snowdrift smiley. At least it would be easier to connect with the idea of drifting.

The asters that are nestled against my porch railing are still in full bloom. There can't possibly be any bees around to pollinate them, yet they keep blooming. Last Winter they were still blooming in january.

Though asters can definitely profit by the attentions of honeybees, they're not exclusively dependant on them, as peas and beans are.

They're also wind pollinated, and the slight differential of static electric charge between anthers and stigmas can catapult a pollen grain from one floret to another on the same flower.

Considering that I grew them by seed and hand-watered them for almost a year, I'm still amazed at how huge the plants got, and how many seeds they've thrown off this year. smiley - smiley
