I've heard the expression "plenty of time for sleep when I'm dead," but I don't advise testing the theory.

Well, I did a couple of 80 hours plus with no sleep, during chemo, and turned up and still had me drugs... not recomended mind, just my sleep is so screwed at teh best of times been fairly good the last couple weeks though, until the last few nights, for some reason feeling wide awake now, of course, having slept only about four hours in the last two nights in total

Just remember not to operate any heavy machinery. If you can't pick it up, it must be heavy, right?

Yes, but carrying the contents in your stomach doesn't hardly count as carrying .

Plus, when you drink two dozen bottles of anything liquid, you need to know the whereabouts of any rest rooms that you may pass.

Or just wear a dress and no underwaer...

I was unaware of that option, though you may mean carrying the bottles hanging on the underside of your dress. Wouldn't they produce telltale bulges, though?

I've been away from this thread so long, I forgot who had the hernia. Glad it wasn't me .

The Danish word for hernia is "brok". "At brokke sig" (=to brok) means "to grumble"

You can't imagine all the "witty" comments I've heard since my operation

But of course I'm not one to grumble over it
