That was your mom? I can't help but read them, they appear below the answer-type-in space.
This day was just way too strange. For no reason. It just was...

I've had an interesting week, myself. I haven't relpied to your e-mail (I have read it though), but you can expect a very long letter from me to tell you all about it.
I hope you don't mind incredibly long e-mails.

I don't typically mind anything that's justified.
Were you going to tell me about my e-mail, or your week?

What did you think? It was only in the local independent theater here, which I don't get to nearly as often as I should...

I loved it! I wish I had seen it in the theater though. It was playing at the big megaplex here. I wanted to go see it, but I was preoccupied with other *cough*stupidboy*cough* things.
We don't have an independent theater here. But, whenever I'm in Houston I go to the one there.

Back to being a silly girl again. (see my latest journal entry)
I'll tell you about it in my e-mail. I have a gazillion that I have to write. I'm gonna go do that now, after I change the quote on my page.

Well, that was quick.
I didn't think you could really be silly. Well, most of the time anyways...

Drug Abuse Resistance Education? Nah, missed it by a year. I know several people who were forced to take it, though. They're all raging pot-heads now. At least most of them...

I read somewhere about some stats regarding juvenile drug users and the percentage of them that participated in D.A.R.E? 100%
I was in D.A.R.E., and I'm not a raging pot-head. At least not anymore.

lol.
This country's stance on drug abuse/use is inane. By telling children to deny their curiosity outright, we've made them more curious. Tell them the truth, let them decide. Tell them just say no, many are going to ask why.
Shoot. You already knew that. I'm just in argumentative mode... lol

I think the real problem w/drug 'education' is that it demonizes such a harmless substance like marijuana along w/all the stuff that really is bad. Because, when the kids *do* try pot and see that it's really not that bad, they'll assume that the rest isn't that bad either.
Gateway drug my ass. That was one of the funniest things on that Americans For Purity site, how they compared masturbation to marijuana, calling it a 'gateway sin'. It really pointed out how ridiculous that whole 'gateway' theory is. And the whole thing about having every man take regular urine tests, is the same as mandatory drug testing. When I think about it, a big chunk of that site was a satire about drug laws.

Is it because I'm not swearing?
Would the BODMP be something about the Danger Mouse Petition?

No, just that she says 'shoot' a lot. Actually she swears some now (she picked it up from me). And it weirds me out b/c it's still not natural to her, so it sounds weird. Like when kids cuss to be cool. That time she called me a bi-otch wasn't weird though, that was funny. Have we had this conversation before?
BODMP stands for Bearer Of Danger Mouse Plushie. That's what MikeA called me. MY friend Adam gave him to me yesterday. I gave him my Pulp Fiction kangaroo for it. He was really happy about that.
