Don't cut your hair. It won't come back for a long time, and by the time it does, you'll just want to cut it again. (roughly your own arguement)

I don't think I'm gonna cut it too soon. It has taken it a long time to get this long. I've just been looking at old pictures of me and my friends and remembering how cool our hair was.

When I get the chance, I'm gonna put some of those old pictures on my site.
It also doesn't help that P'hul just cut her hair. Actually I cut it again today.

Hers.
I don't know which of the conversations I'm conversing with you in you will read first, but I'm sur they'll be pretty similar. Damn I'm typing so bad, I can't believe I made it home. Actually I can, typing is a lot harder than driving.
Anyways, damn, I just forgot what I was going to say. But I do remember that I was going to tell you that I can't remember what I posted on the atheism forum just a few minutes ago. Really, I can't. Blah, blah, blah, I'm sorry you have to read this, actually I'm looking forward to reading this myself once I've sobered up. I'll probably be embarrassed though.

I do that too. Unless someone I'm talking to is online right then, then I'll get that one first.
I had the weirdest dreams last night.

What was it (you do seem to have weird dreams a lot)?
As I only have 6 minutes left afor I have to leave, I'll have to check your response later.

I don't really remember any from last night, except one of them was about TSB and that was disturbing.
But, I do remember a lot of a dream that I had a few days ago. It was weird and it took place in this mystical world. I was in this building that was really beautiful and there was this old lady there (she reminded me of Jessica Tandy). I didn't talk to her then my dad and I were waiting for this store to open (this place must have been a mall or something). Then more people started showing up. One of them was Christopher Walken and he was wearing this beautiful green vest that made his eyes sparkle (I like Christopher Walken, but I don't have a 'thing' for him). I went around these stairs and there was this gang there that was lead by this beautiful young (late teens) girl. I went into the bathroom and they were hassling people in there. Later on, I talked to this girl and she told me more about herself. There was something wrong with her, and she needed gold to make her well. She had this shell on a chain around her neck which had gold inside it, but it was all gone. Like she absorbed the gold by having it close to her. So, the old lady took us to this outdoor market to find some gold. We went to this man's shop and the old lady bought some amethist (sp?) and asked the man if he had anything gold. Gold was very scarce. He picked up this brooch that was shaped like a crab, it looked like it was all gold with some white crystal accents. But it wasn't, the only gold he had in his whole shop was a small bead that was in one of the crab's claws. So the old lady bought that too. Which touched me, because this girl's gang had destroyed most of the mall she lived in.
I woke up soon after that. I think it was a really wierd dream. Especially the part with the gold, since I don't even like gold, I like silver.

Yes, but what does it all mean?
I've watched that episode at least ten times since wensday and I'm still not tired of it.

Your dream?
Were you tangible in the dream? Really there? Or an observer?

I was really there.

All right, here goes (and I could be wrong):
The old woman, a figure of respect, a guru. Someone who has (possibly) discarded and disreguarded all things physical.
I don't know about Christopher Walken, or his green vest.
The gang led by the beautiful teen girl was society, the teen girl was part of that society (coincidentally a leader in it).
Her problem: desire for wealth had become a need for her existance.
Also, once the wealth was obtained, it became a non-entity, and was affectively useless (was consumed).
The old lady bought amethist in an outdoor market (something changed here, I don't know why).
Then she asked the man if he had any gold. He did, as part of a broach, shaped as a crab, the gold being in the crab's claw. The old lady bought it, and gave it to the girl who ruined the old lady's home.
Which would you liken yourself to; the old lady (venerable guru), the teen girl (impetuous youth), the crab (pawn possessing something valuble)?

I'm probably the teen girl. I feel like I've been trying to fill some void in my life. But, I think that once that void is filled, another will appear and it will keep going like this forever.
Damn, that was pretty slick, jb. Where did you get all that from?
Not the Hair Again!
jbliqemp... Posted Apr 23, 2000
How do you mean? I just read it, it was obvious (at least to me).
Are you perhaps all three? The wise woman (knowing what is best for yourself), the teen girl (throwing it away), and the crab (possessing your own need)?

I probably am all three, since I know that I'm screwed up and I even know how I'm screwed up. But I still obsess and want and all that. And I probably do already have whatever I need to be happy inside myself.
It makes much more sense when you say it.

Ah, me the objective observer, twice today. Couldn't think of a real answer the first time though...

When was the first time? If it had to do with me, I'm really sorry I don't remember what it was. I'm beginning to feel pretty flakey.
Ooh, before I forget, I'm probably going to send you an e-mail later tonight/this morning. I don't know why I felt I had to tell you, but there it is.
