Sounds like it's cold there. Denmark, while being surely Northern, usually isn't that cold. Yesterday we had about -13 in the morning (C, that is) but that is so far the low of this winter. Typical winter here is around +2, gray and boring. If you wish, there's a link to a Nat'l Geographics article describing how some Northern Americans find a Danish winter...

But other than that, welcome & have a good time!

Ah to have such warm weather would be a dream! Not that I'm complaining mind you. I actually like cold
winter weather, however, the tempurature has been a bit harsh as of late. On Satruday, the mercury dropped
to -29 (-50 if you figure in the wind chill factor ). Exposed skin freezes in less then 5 seconds at tempuratures
like that, what fun!

Hello and welcome. And while we're discussing the weather I'm in the UK and its raining (what a surprise!) but we're confident it will freeze by morning!

And isn't it just gloriosly picturesque to have all that wonderful Canadian snow?

Obviously you don't live in a place that has snow from november to march (and sometimes april). Yes, it is very picturest when you're in the countryside or skiing in the mountains, but in the city, snow is a great pain. Snow only stays nice and white in parks and in people's yards. On the street, any snow quickly becomes blackened slush which accumulates in puddles waiting for a bus to come roaring along to splash the unsuspecting pedestrian. I would not, however, change my Canadian climate for your British climate. I lived in Normandy on the French side of the Channel and it did nothing but rain all winter. At least with snow, you don't get as wet.

actually CC....my father was Military so i was raised both overseas and in the US....this means i have no real claim to anywhere
as for now i find myself in a cosey little community in alabama where i am most all the time in shock at how people behave
as for not looking too much like a twit....the only advice i have is to just be yourself and join in wherever you can you will find that everyone here is quite friendly and will treat you as if they have known you forever
