Life...

What a week.
On Saturday, I split up with my girlfriend of 20 months. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy.
Then on Wednesday morning, some IDIOT drove into the back of my mums car, while she was letting traffic coming the other way get past some parked cars. He was far too close, and not concentrating at all. So yesterday (Thursday), we had to take the car into the garage (in Birmingham). We were told straight away that it was a write-off. Mind you, we had been considering getting a new (second-hand) car.
So then we went to get a hire car (which we'll claim the cost of back from the other bloke's insurance). It's a Ford KA - really nice to drive.
Then in the afternoon, we started the search for another car. We found a couple of possibilities - we're hoping one of my sisters (more mechanically minded) friends will take a look at them for us.

Holidays... and jobs

Yes, I'm on my holidays. And looking for a job. But not getting anywhere very quickly. Everyone else seems to have beaten me to it.
Unfortunately for me, Warwick finishes for the summer a good two weeks after pretty much everywhere else - so I had little chance in gettig a job quickly. But never mind, I'm sure something will turn up...

Time to go home...

Well, that's it for this year. I'm off home, so you probably won't hear from me again 'til October. Unless I manage to get into Birmingham and find an internet cafe...

Exam Results
Posted Jun 29, 2000
Wahey! I got a 2:1 overall!
No resits to worry about - the only slight disaster was 'The Solar Sytsem', a non-compulsory (so I knew I wouldn't have to resit that) module, which I got about 30% in. The exam was pretty awful though!
Most of the module marks were 50-60%, with a 90% high for 'Programming for Scientists'. So I think you can guess what sort of modules I might be doing more of next year...
