Hey, well done on figuring out the paperchase and also giving me faith that someone else is at least vaguely interested; to tell the truth I'd nearly forgotten about the thing. I'm off to try to figure out yours now.

I found yours without too much trouble - probably because I'd had a look at the page linked from 'your space' about MC!
Have fun with mine - I don't think I've left any obvious clues lying around! smiley - smiley

Oops. I really ought to look at the content of my space at some point. Anyway I don't want to make it too hard. Did you unsubscribe to wherever you posted it? I didn't, but that wasn't available when I wrote the thing.

Nope. But It might be a good idea - I'll do it right away!

Solved it, BTW. Just tried a quick bit of word association (not as much fun as word disassociation, but that's not important right now) and I got it. After a day or so, admittedly.

Well done! It was one I thought up in a bit of a rush though...

Simulposted before.

I thought the question was quite good, actually. The second part was obvious, but the first took a bit of lateral thinking. Mine's quite easy too, but I think that if we get a few questions down, I'll feel better about advertising it a little more.

I'd better put my thinking cap on then...

What did you think of the first question? I know you got it via a link, but do you think it might be too obscure and put people off?

Post 10

I think it's fairly reasonable - the first thing I thought of after reading 'follow the black line' was the LU. Then it just needed a bit of detective work.

Ah, good. I may confuse some Americans, but I can live with that.

Which reminds me, I promised a clue...

Post 13

Bagpuss

You did, and I've solved it. Is anyone else going to overtake us do you think?

Paperchase

Post 14

The Researcher formally known as Dr St Justin

It's not looking likely at the moment. But you never know...

Post 15

Bagpuss

Let me know when you've done the current one. Or if someone else has...

Hello!
I managed Clue 1 (after Bagpuss replied to TheCow's posting). I don't live in London - that's my excuse.

I was hoping for a teensy weensy clue for..er.. Clue 2.
(you don't realise how many entries on Babel Fish I've trawled through - I'm getting desperate!)

bye for now

Hey, *I* don't live in London.

I'll leave Justin to give you your clue; I don't think I should compile a hint for someone else's question.

Someone might overtake us in a bit, since I'm currently stuck. smiley - sadface

Okay, a little clue for #2 (hey! I'm speaking in rhyme!!):
A ritual that most schools have, usually before lunch.

Hope that help, but not too much! smiley - smiley

I will let my brain marinate in that clue for a while...

Bagpuss, we've barely got overland trains where I'm from, so how am I meant to know about trains which mysteriously traverse the underground?smiley - tongueout

Humblest thankings,

I though the entire country barely had overland trains at the moment.... smiley - biggrin
