Right...I know I disappeared for a few days...but...well...now I'm at uni...

...and...i've survived so far...

well...apart from the inevitable timetable clashes... Every single music lesson i'm supposed to do clashes with a physics one...

ah well..it'll get sorted...

How was Prague?

It was great. Its a beautiful city... and it was so much fun... Happily I'd left before the rioting broke out, that was with S26/INPEG, and I went for a different demonstration which was all over by then...

*sighs* I want to go to Prague again.... it was so beautiful.... so many nice romantic places....

*smiles* But I want to g.......

*smiles*

Anyway... How did you do with the language, btw?... Not too many people speak English, as far as I know...

Quite a lot of people do now... I was mainly in touristy parts, admittedly, but when I was buying stuff in the supermarket all I needed to say was please and thankyou, 'cuz they use our numbers I didn't have to understand when they said what the price was, 'cuz it was up on the till... Most of them know enough english for hello and for numbers, though, so that they can charge you correctly on their stalls, and if you point when you ask for *this* one its okay too...
So all the Czech I can say is prosim, dekuyi, and I can also run off most of the place names between Malostranske and Narodni Divadlo on the number 22 tram

*grins* Yes... Well-known to anyone who's been there....

Czech is a strange language... Well... not really strange... funny.... *grins* But that's only to me, of course...

Well... and you're right, probably you could survive without understanding a single word... by pointing at food & handing over what money you've got...

Actually.... Something which is true for just about all places you have to pay for.... there's a list with ticket prices in English... and a few other languages... and there's a sign saying what the prices are in Czech... and the numbers are written out, so anyone who doesn't know Czech wouldn't know what it is... and *that* prices usually are 2 or 3 times lower than the other ones...

somehow that reminds me of Egypt....when the guy said my mam'd put him out of business because she wouldn't take no for an answer on a price that was far lower than he wanted to seel the stuff...

& Joanna...i've got....umm...18 hours....& 2 tutorials.....they're both an hour....

oh well...i get Friday's off...& only start at 9 on wednesdays...i think...
