NaJoPoMo 2013 Lanzababy - Wish Lists and Impulse Buys
Tavaron da Quirm - Arts Editor Posted Nov 18, 2013
I don't have a kindle or anything like that, I still prefer 'real' books, although I did far too little reading during the last few months. There are still quite a few books (and other things) in my basket on amazon, waiting patiently to be bought. Some are sitting there since spring already.

I'm currently reading seven books, all borrowed form the library:
"The Brutal Telling," by Louise Penny
"Saved," by ben Hewitt
"Italian neighbors," by Tim Parks
"The Book of Immortality," by Adam Leith Goffner
"The $1,000 Challenge," by Brian J O'Connor
"Walls," by Marcello di Cintio
"I Shall Wear Midnight," by Terry Pratchett
All except the first and last were published within the last year.
Last night I finished "The Brutal Telling," and will return it today on my way back from the swimming pool.

"The Brutal Telling" hit me like a ton of bricks. I really didn't want to think that Olivier the bistro owner was capable of murder.
That's part of the point though. Another character in the book is both a jerk and a saint. You can't separate the two. That's life.

First thing I did when I opened my a/c at Amazon was turn off 1 click ordering. Wonder how many parents do same if kids have access to their a/c's?
I don't have a Kindle but do have the Kindle App on the tablet though till I get these chuffin glasses sorted I'll not be using it much.

My kindle is a DX, an older model, which doesn't always do well at illustrations or screen grabs of code in javascript manuals, so I'm glad to have the reading app as well. After NaJo I'll have to remember how to code all over again...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
