Why thank you. I may well take you up on the offer. Hopefully I'll have broadband before the month is out if that makes any difference to sharing music?

Hello again.
Still no broadband
I bought Leonard Cohen's 'Various Positions' the other week and it is fantastic. But, and this is where I'm confused about folk music, he doesn't sound like 'folk' to me. It's the same with Regina Spektor. Have I misjudged the genre or are these two not folk at all?!

Not folk per se, I don't think (well, not Cohen at any rate) Regina is excellent, though. I think Mike Harding has played her on Radio 2's folk show.
After watching some of the Glastonbury coverage last night we discovered Newton Faulkner and my ever lovely hubby went on amazon and bought me everything they had for sale by him.
You can check him out here;

I loved it!
When you get broadband let me know and I can MSN all sort of odd stuff to you!

Thanks for the link. I had a quick peek but dialup is still annoyingly slow.
I love Regina. I first heard her in a V*rg*n store and 'On the Radio' was playing on the instore sound system (there must be a better name for that.) She sounded like Cat Power so I asked the guy at the counter if it was. He told me it was Regina Spektor and I wrote her name on my hand as I walked out. Obviously it washed off but I remembered enough to find her album on my next visit
I am on MSN so I will let you know when I get broadband.
Thank you
