You made the right choice then. We were adopted by a grey tabby 3 years ago. We named her Porsche (how decadent,eh?), but she usually gets called Smorshee. Happy Groundhog Day, Tig, Nonnie.@

Only US. Supposedly, the groundhog comes out of its burrow to see its shadow. If it sees it, winter's almost over. If it doesn't, there's 6 more weeks of crappy weather. (it could be the other way around). Anyway, in the USA, they drag out a poor groundhog, and have a party. There's a movie called "Groundhog Day", with Bill Murray, that you really should see. @

What is a GroundHog ? Does it have a less US-centric name ?

P.S. I've heard of the film, but never seen it

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
*peers around and ducks head* I hope the Oracle wasn't listening!

Hi Ali,
Glad to hear you're fine - our weekend involved removing more wallpaper, finding cracks in the wall that the previous owners had covered up (!), fixing/filling cracks, making shelves etc .........

P.S. Noonie, glad to hear about the cat-flap . However, I hadn't thought of using one that way before !

Alicat: I'm surprised I haven't seen you at my party! You're most welcome, along with everyone else. 'Nonny was the first guest to arrive. We're all singing at the moment. You should hear Jeni X, she's a very good singer-harmonious voice, and there are plenty of choccy 's being served! We're trying to play all the slushy ballards at the moment but there's someone else who like heavy metal which isn't really me, or most of my friends either. I'm warning you now, the song playing now might make you cry, it's the type that sounds so sad!
Tigger (or was it 'Nonny?): I've got my new computer now and I'm shocked at how fast it is! I was used to walking around the room for a bit before thing s happened, and now they happen so quickly my mind needs time to register it's just happened!

Hi Katsy. I just found out your address, from Ossario. I just have to go back to the beer pool on Vitulub VI to get it , and I'll be right there. Sounds like you've got your hands full, too.@
