I carefully exceeded my word limit by 10% on the last essay I wrote when the previous one was apparently "10% too short" despite being exactly 1500 words- the supposed limit...

I do wish lecturers would give a range for these things to be within, it can be demoralising if there is a 2000 word limit and you have covered all the points you think relevant in 1500smiley - smiley
