I appreciated seeing your posts in my threads on Christmas Day. I hope your Christmas was a happy one.

It was sixty degrees F. here. I had a nice walk in the rain. No need to wear a face mask, as almost everyone else was inside.

I normally go to my sisters for xmas day, along with mam and my son, plus my cousin on the last couple of years
this time
keeping with our restrictions of size of households etc, I stayed at homethis time.

With no disrespect to family, since my 2 kids grew up, I don't look at xmas in the same light so it's just another day to me
I go thereon the "public relations" bit

coming in to hootoo over xmasisn't anything different to any other day of the week etc

There are friendsto keep in contact with in other parts of the world

BUT! Paul, I also hope that you had a pleasant time and family (with restrictions) could celebrate ok

My family had a Zoom session. Zoom is a computer program that requires a camera. My brother sent me a camera via Amazon several months ago, and I plugged it into my computer. My sister-in-law hosts the sessions.

Some programs work with my computer, and some don't. Zoom and Doxy work.

Mam at 94 yr old is far not into tech' stuff and is only 30mins walking away.
I personally don't do vid cam etc or facebook/twitter etc etc.
I've only my sister as such, who lives within 20 mins walking distance if needed

I have to deal with a brother who wants to live in the future. Sometimes I struggle to live in the present.

The past can't be changed!
Now! is as it happens!
As long as you wake up the next day you can choose how it happens

I look at life like a ladderI prefer to go up a step and never look forward to going down one

The strange part is that I do wake up the next morning, not much changed from the way I was the night before. I can't explain why I keep waking up, but I do.

It would be nice to keep going up the steps of that ladder, but is the choice always ours? True, I don't look forward to going back down, but I'm *facing* up. I'd have to turn around to see down.

I was passed a bit of "info" a while back

common sense is like deodorant, those that need it don't use it!

and "we" have many of those around my area
or as we say here! "As thick as a brick"
