No. Almost everybody we knew in Raleigh has moved away, too - and so have the people in western North Carolina, so it's not worth it.

We might go visit somewhere else, though - my other sister's in upstate New York, and the kids are in Maryland and near Philadelphia. You never know where we might go.

Right now, we're thinking about where to go on my birthday which is in a couple of weeks. I thought Punxsutawney, but Elektra's keen to go to Mr McFeely's farm - Mr Rogers' granddad had a farm near here, and it's open to the public.

We had worse than a rodent last night. This morning, Elektra said she smelled a skunk in the neighbourhood. Fortunately, the wind blew the smell away. I saw something large and hairy one night, so it might be a rather overgrown skunk... and there was a broken eggshell on the ground, and they'll steal eggs...

We don't want a skunk. Do Not Want.

It's been sunny all day today. Amazing. So we got out and did our shopping - and got our sun, too. Then I came home just in time for revision requests.

Only one more study to go (revised), then I'm done.

But it'll be snowing again by the weekend, I suspect. That's why I got out and laid in a month's supply of groceries.

I'm laughing at Elektra. We went to Walmart, and while we were there, we picked up a new toy for the doglet. Doglet hasn't warmed to the toy raccoon yet.

Then Elektra wanted her to have some nutritious treats, because she doesn't want her to eat too many liver treats. (She's so tiny.) So I got some that are nutritious. Doglet turned up her snout. Elektra's fussing at her.

Doglet's usually pretty easy-going about food. I won't let her have any of mine unless it's just plain meat with nothing on it. That's an awfully small dog, and I worry.

Now, those humongous cats - nah. They can lick the bowl if they want.
