You're ahead of me, I haven't heard. I'll go look.
First I was out at the insurance office, then I was working, so I don't have time to surf news.

I was surprised it was an Amtrak train. When you said Philly, I assumed it was one of the local trains. Lots of train lines there. Of course, the local trains don't ever go that fast.
That's a shame. But they need to update that equipment. It's the busiest rail route in the country, the Northeast Corridor.

I hate hearing about any tragedy but it always seems worse when it's in an area where a friend lives, hoping a friend or part of his/her family were not involved, until info received sort of

Yeah, well, we used to live in Philly. I checked the map to see where it happened - that curve is in the northern end of the city. They still don't know why the train was going that fast - I mean, 100 mph? Come on...
I'm glad my nephew's up in Allentown, and doesn't take the train, though. I think we took that train line once, from Philadelphia to Baltimore.

I get that. But that's nothing to have forgotten - heck, this is a big country, and I don't know where everything is in it. Let alone in the UK.

Some German friends of ours said once that they were planning a trip to the US. They wanted to see New York, and the Grand Canyon, and LA, and...
And they had three weeks, and wanted to drive.

Yeah. That's the wrong place to drive.
Tell you what. Elektra and my sister went off to shop in the next county oh, about 2 pm. It is now four hours later, and guess what? They're not home.
Since I need something to eat, and those crisps I ate won't do it, I'm going to go downstairs now and raid the kitchen.
So take it easy, see you later!

Bro in law showed up while I was eating. Said, 'I'm waiting for them, too. They dropped me off at the church an hour ago, said they'd be 'right back'.'
We got it sorted.
