I must beg to differ for you know what they say of a clever mind left idle.

Is this 'cause your abillities don't allow it?
If so have you thought of riding a trike?
There is nothing to compare to the feel of acceleration and the wind in your hair (or face and head if you have no hair)

There is one thing to be said for baldness.
It's a lot easier to get your helmet on and off

only had one bike, Yammie 200, it was a lemon. Due to shape etc, a decent bike was beyond me and no way was I going on 50cc putt putts.

There's nothing like a night out at the YMCA

used to be fit years back, once ran to local

Yeah I can remember those days, while I was at school.

The working life of drinking,eating,drinking more,eating more the occasional sleep and every now and then a little bit of work, soon put payed to my fitness

oh my friend, I've slept at/worked at my ex local years ago, language i've heard as I've come out.........at 6 in the morning, when mates are going to local pit on day shift

It is a shame that that life is over.

I know the working life of a pitman was never easy but the community is weakened without the comming togethter of work mates.


It's not only the pits that have closed but a lot of the large manufacturers have gone also which can only lead to people living more insular lives.

I'm only glad that the work I do brings me into contact with people who on the whole are usually very nice(you wouldn't think it watching the news every night).

And there is nothing like a large group of blokes (or women for that matter)for having a fun time
