If you read the rules, you'd swear humor was not allowed....quite the contrary. Go through and check some forums...you'll find it is very much alive and well!

I think the point that was trying to be stressed was the fact that guide entries shouldn't entirely consist of humour and/or fiction... instead, they should incorporate keen "journalism" that doesn't take itself entirely too seriously.

on humor: h2g2 is like real life, it is amusing and entertaning without having to pretend to be anything. What I think the editors really want is just for every one to be them selves and the humer and entertainment just happens. Any welcome and feel free to ask of me any questions you have or even come by just to say hi..........or to talk about fish.
