Hmm not too sure if this is any good or informative, anyway i hope someone will give it the time to read over it and leave me a message. Any help would be much appreciated. I'll give you a slice of -- ooh bribery... is that allowed on H2G2??

It's all true, and ... 'we' all know what it is, and have been looking under the bed before going to sleep. You could try to put in some more facts which people don't already know or aren't aware of when thinking about the topic. Like, that little children are in quite this state of mind which protects them from many (not all) dangers of everyday life. Oops, you've got that already

You've also touched the Middle Ages but there's more to it, with all the perceived incarnations of the devil (just do a google search for paintings from Hieronymus Bosch or Pieter Brueghel ), witchcraft&sorcery, accusing people of having caused the plague and other misbeliefs. Oops. You've been there as well

So, what was I saying? After reading your article again, I realise that there isn't much to be added from my side without running the danger of making it a highly philosophical piece . Keep it as it is!

Yeah i wanted to keep it quite short, i was going to do this whole long article about the dark and fear but then i decided to split them off into two seperate articles. That's why i haven't really gone into too much detail over this one i suppose.

Well, i think i may head back to the drawing board and try and add a little more detail. thank you for taking the time to read and comment, I'm going to try to do the same for some other people who post here just out of politeness really.
