Very good, redvines. I'm a doodler - but no matter what, when or how I start doodling, I end up with a variation on the same themes.

This is good. smiley - smiley
I like the idea of Zen and the art of doodling.
One minor quibble- the title isn't very inspiring.

Your right about the title I think. I'm a bit new, is there any way to change it?
Also any suggestions?

I was/am a better doodler than a student. I used to doodle in art class!

UnderGuide Editors

Congratulations smiley - bubbly, redvines smiley - smiley, the <./>underguide</.> miners (click on the link for more info if wanted) picked you entry out to include in the UnderGuide last month.

You might find our QA's thoughts on it useful - he found it flawed but nevertheless of UnderGuide standard.

His full comment was:
"A lightweight piece but still enjoyable enough, though, with some nice ideas and an uplifting style.

It suffers a bit for want of anything to counterpoint. Doodling as a product of boredom and a pure displacement activity is not as interesting as doodling as caricature. The fun-poking at pretentious art-philosophy would be funnier if the doodling was going on in a lecture on the philosophy of art, for example.

The other obvious weakness, the lack of a clear direction to the piece, is possibly excused by the subject. It’s just about plausible that the author set out to deliberately create a literal doodle.

The original title doesn't do anything for the piece, simply reducing it to ‘Doodling’ is a bit flat too."

Many thanks, redvines
