An ultra-condensed version. What else is there to say?
I hope you like it.

If only this had been around eight years OK, I needn't have bothered reading the book...
Could you do me one of these on Marcel Proust's looking for lost time please? I read half of one book of the series five years ago, and had to stop before I lost the will to live.
More seriously, I like these ultra condensed pieces, and I think this one is good, but they are generally funnier when you put a few of them together.

Hi Sprout, Glad you liked.
Never read Proust, I'm afraid. It may have been covered on that web site though.
Personally, I really liked the original. I think the tendency is to parody the things we either hate or really like. I suspect that the Monty Python group really liked the King Arthur legends.
They do get better in clusters, I agree!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
