Top of the head definition of Pi - the number that gives the relation between the radius ('separation' of centre and circumference) and circumference ('revolution' of a point about the centre) of a circle.
If that's what to 'get'?

It is the circumference divided by the diameter.
One revolution - circumference
over - divided by
our separation - the diameter.

Well, I am a physics teacher.

Yeah, I quite like that.
I wanted more of a continuing on type of feel rather than more going round and round. Sort of relating to the fact that Pi continues on forever.
But Orbitting is definitely better than rotating.
