I like this, though I am not sure what to make of it. It is evocative and allusive, though I also find it ellusive. My preference is for more lucid poetry, though I understand and appreciate that there is the other kind which plays with our minds and emotions.

Thank you for posting it.

Hi Ben!

I read this before and forgot to say anything, I'm not 100% sure I follow it... smiley - erm maybe it's because I have a limited intelligence.

I didn't understand it either - but it is evocative, and I think it works.

Tonsil Revenge (PG)

I stood there once.
I still have the photograph.
I go back with the picture,
and there is gone.

I remember the feel of the sun
that still shines in the photo,
but it has yellowed
and I am dark.

There was a future
to that boy,
standing there,
looking forward.

Now I look back
at my looking,
and wonder if I would have smiled,
if I could have seen me now.

Bit of a strange one this. The rhythm is excellent and carries you along. I did have to read it 3 times and I'm still not sure. Sometimes I do think the overuse of the word places jarrs a little, but then on another reading I won't notice it.

Perhaps Caccable?
