It's only possible to travel half-way into a wood, as that would be the middle. Go any further and you are travelling out of the wood.

You have an empty bag with a 5 litre capacity. You also have a quantity of apples, each having a 600ml volume. How many apples can you put into the empty bag?

You would have to allow for the spaces between the apples, but the question is, how can you calculate that.
