although being fairly cynical, i like your entry, and totally agree... especially the whole help-them-do-it idea. i think a lot of people do it for attention, and that's what they get when the police/fire dept/ whatever comes to try to "reason with them." maybe there would be a lot less people attempting or threatening suicide if no one paid attention...
all in all, i like the entry.... smiley - smiley

I generally agree, but you have to split the suicides into two groups. first you have the deeply troubled individual in need of help who is realtively easy to spot, and so should be helped before things get that extreme. The other group is the ones where keeping them alive just extends the agony of living, and who will never get any improvement in their quality of life. Those should have the oportunity for euthanasia or your "let's shoot them". keep up the good work.
