When i left my last job everyone asked why i could not put it in words but on my last day i was told someone had booked a holiday starting the next day(after i had left so it didn't efect me)which ment that only one person would be working and he was a nice lad called mike but had a mental age of a 11 year old he also has a bad back,and heart troubles plus if left alone he can't cope so i told the boss to ask someone to work over she walked off saying its my day off tomorrow its not my problem.

P.S.I met the warehouse manager last week he offered me a job i said i can't because of my wrist whats wrong with them he replyed i said i would slash them before going back there.

it is amazing how uncaring bosses can be at times...yes, there are some good ones out there but i am beginning to think that those good ones are few and far between...most of them forget that if it weren't for the people they are stepping on they would not be where they are. i often wonder just how they think they can keep employees when they treat them like such dirt but then i sit back and watch the employees who stay and put up with being treated like dirt and am reminded of the abused spouse who no matter what refuses to leave his/her abuser. must be the same thing...their self estime has been crushed so badly by this person that they feel they don't deserve better and that they should be treated like dog dung....

It seems to be the same where I work. We have a bunch of clerks who just take whatever is dished out. One girl was in trouble last week for making mistakes, at least one of which was not her fault. The self-appointed office manager just screemed at her. This shrew got at me one day, asked me if I did anything to help out, because I didn't do something no one had told me I had to do. In the middle of her tirade I decided it was time for a coffee, and, without a word, walked out to the coffee room. It was either that or get unprofessional and tell her off or slap her! The tactic worked - she didn't talk to me for 3 weeks I've worked in places of empowerment for years, now, and refuse to give it up. They've never seen the likes of me at this place - and it upsets some of them no end when I consult with the comptroller, and don't just sit back and be a good little girl.

We have some sexism issues there as well, and you can't tell these women you don't have to take that.
