Love it, love it. Especially 'cos I had a little say in it!

Done, I reckon.

Do you reckon Monty Python is the most-linked-to Guide Entry yet?

Do you think there is a place in this Entry for that oddly successful phenomenon - the chain pub?

Mr B, uh, Yes and um, oh I don't know, there's SO many chain pubs! Scream Pubs, Wetherspoons, Harvesters, BeeKeepers, Firkins, Yates the list in almost endless. Perhaps a sentence somewhere maybe. Just for you smiley - kisssmiley - winkeye

Speller - If I can help somebody...

Hi PGHF – thanks for including the ‘kitty’ section but…

A couple of nigglers…

'kitty' fund where one perosn ? person??

I guess the disabled access is likely to get much more widespread quickly as I believe the law says businesses must ensure access.

A snip from the Big screen sporting events section:
It is quite common to buy the stranger standing at the bar with a drink when the team you are both supporting scores a point/wins a game/injures an opposing teams player.
Seems not to make sense… should it be without the with????

Other than that – looking very good

The kitty is also known as the 'whip' in many situations, presumably as in 'whip round'.

As well as not drinking drinks bought elsewhere, it's also worth mentioning in the food section that if the pub does any sort of food more extensive than crisps and nuts, they'll usually take umbrage if they see you scoffing anything bought elsewhere.

And somewhere in the entry, I think there's a 'too' missing from 'all too often'.

Everybody? I'm a Canadian-American, and a kid to boot. I looked at this entry about two weeks ago and it looked pretty good to me then...I never knew there was so much to say about pubs!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
