Opticalillusion- media mynx life would be boring without hiccups Posted Sep 11, 2005
Hope you are well and that you are enjoying H2G2.
I'm trying to get as much as possible through to be edited these days. Because thats how you learn more right? and plus it gives me a boost in achieving something. Although I'm not new to the contribution phase and have several things already edited I feel I want all my entries through and I think the edited process has changed somewhat since I last got things edited. So whether I've still got it in me to produce things will be worth seeing.
If you have any more comments that would be great

I think you did very well indeed, and it is great that you have got so much into the edited Guide! (I've got only one... )

I wouldn't worry about how many entries you have in the Guide. I just love writing and would love to have a job which encompasses writing *dont know where to look for said job though*. But think having many entries would show how keen I am to get the perfect job.
I think all that really matters in life is that you are happy.

Hi there Opti,
I've just read your article on Jesus Christ, and I must say that it's a very good summary on His life and death. However, for this article to make it into the Edited Guide, you'll have to do a little bit more work, because truth be told, this sounds a bit 'top-of-your-head'. Being concise can be a good thing (I'm afraid I'm one of those who write marathon pieces); however in being too general you can lose important details. You might want to consider mentioning a little on the Three Wise Men, as well as a couple of important aspects and incidents of Jesus' life, such as Satan's temptation, Jesus' twelve disciples (one of which would betray him, of course), and a brief mention of what He stood for, what He taught and well... you've already got the bit about miracles.
Another important thing is: an introduction. A good introduction leads the reader into the heart of the article. Even though most people in the western world know of the life of Jesus and all, you're catering to a wider audience, some of whom may be less familiar. Maybe a brief mention that He is said (in the Bible) to be the Son of God, but that Islam considers Jesus to only be a great prophet, or something like that?
Anyway, don't be discouraged - you've got a decent mainframe there already. All it takes is a little fleshing out.
Best of luck,
Far.
