The Cow.......I went there...couldn't find the page!....I can only imagine.
Does it have to do with the fact that most folks in this fair country(US) don't understand that New Mexico is not a foriegn country!?

Exactly.
Are all Americans that dumb (h2g2ers excepted, of course!)
Sorry, it probably wasn't stupid.com I'll ask 'Wade Guice' (a IRL friend) what it was in school tommorrow.

hailing from Seattle (the one and only). No, I don't work for Microsoft. Born in Portland, Oregon USA which is about 150 miles south of Seattle. Yes it rains a lot. Yes, we drink a lot of coffee. And beer. And wine. Ok, we drink a lot.

Many Americans are that dumb, but it's not their fault that their education system is a disgrace - television and Coca Cola have rotted their brains so much they don't know the difference. (yes, I'm american. it's not so pretty here any more.)

I don't know that the Coca-Cola helps or hurts!.....the TV, on the other hand, is a wasteland!

I don't know about TV in general, but I know day-time TV would rot your brain!!! I'm just off 6 weeks enforced idleness, and spent a few days stoned on painkillers, or just too sore and bored to do anything else. The day's line up was all talk shows and soap operas, with 2 cooking shows thrown in for good measure. The soaps were --- well --- soaps, what can I say? The talk shows were dumb. One of the cooking shows told me everything I like is bad for me, and the other was all I love made up in glorious meals. Even my boring work-existance is an improvement!!! I won't get envolved in calling Americans stupid - just one comment - why does Hollywood think it is ok to rewrite history????

I was visiting my brother in Canada some years ago and we got into a supermarket in Portland Oregon where I was astonished to find bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale - made in my home town Newcastle on Tyne England. Better than all your coke! I liked Seattle - we went to an old fort where there was a picture of one of our local heroines in the doctor's quarters.

I've set up a home for (my inadvertantly started) 'Stupid American's' Thread. All intelligent people (whether American or not) welcome. Of course, if you're reading this, you're a h2g2er, so you obviously aren't stupid.
Anyway, the new link is:

Hmm ..... I don't really know if I hit the right reply button .... might be a good start for a "Stupid Germans" thread .... however, I only wanted to be noted down as coming from Augsburg, Germany, which is by the way a very beautiful old city and perfect to live in if you have spent your university years in a city like Berlin, like I did

I'm from Kirkkonummi, Finland. If the word Kirkkonummi is translated, literally, it means Churchfield. Have a Nice Day!
