Do you think the 13 stripes might be perhaps for the original number of articles in the constitution?

smiley - erm Not sure. You may well be right.

I don't know and I'm not entirely sure if I care that much about a flag.

Yes, I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 last night, and couldn't understand why that woman wouldn't allow her flag to touch the ground as she puts it up every day. It's just bits of cloth sewn together.

I agree entirely.

This flag palaver is all over the place. I think it's because the flag represents the country and so by not letting it touch dirt one shows respect for one's country.

Give people something to wave and a uniform and they'll do all sorts of stuff.

Does anybody here actually have their national flag. I have a small Irish flag that I got as a child during some world cup (which is odd as I hate football). And I think we have that in the boiler-room\dogs bed now.

I don't think I do. I once had a set of union flag tissues, though.

Monetary wealth is nothing compared to that which you get from the heart of a true family... that is something I have never known...

What? You get tea in your christmas stocking?
Are you too poor to have the little bags they come in or are your parents practical jokers and they tear the little bags so you have to wash the stockings and they still come out stained in tea? smiley - winkeye
