This is my tribute to Alexander Godunov.

Oh wow...

I was just trawling through the mid-reaches of the AWW not expecting to find much I hadn't already read when...

Wow.

This is very striking stuff. I didn't know anything about Godunov - I knew the name, vaguely remembered something about defection - but I'm not sure it did make too huge a difference (might it help to have what you've got on the thread here - 'a tribute to...', 'In memory of...' - somewhere on the Entry itself?)

Because, as a piece of writing in itself, this really works, just by picking up on the details (knowing where Sakhalin helps, obviously smiley - biggrin)

I don't know what else to say - I really liked this smiley - bigeyes Very spare, minimalist even: I thought that worked terrifically well.

Wow to you too! I see you do pick up things, very many thanks for the flattering comments, and yes I will do what you say, simply put the name in the title line.

This was a writing experiment of mine, I like minimalist, but it's the most difficult thing to pull off and I'm really glad somebody had a look at it.
It's also difficult, at least for me, to write about somebody who impressed me very much, as Godunov obviously. You may remember him as killer Karl in Die Hard. But he was an unusual dancer.

UnderGuide Editors

Greetings Delicia smiley - smiley. And smiley - bubbly on another <./>underguide</.> selection. It took eighteen months to spot this gem, but spot it the UnderGuide miners did.

It's a very original, and poignant, tribute.

Thank you for this one.
