Five points for guessing the artists' names, five points for getting the first track right, and a big bonus ten points for working your way through the cryptic maze to get at the song title I was really after. (If I can be bothered, I might even keep a running total, and award a weekly/monthly prize of, say... a link on my home page, for the cleverset s*d!) ...*get on with it 'sus*...
Okay...
The first track was released as a single in 1986, from the 'So' album, with guest vocals by a certain female artist. (An easy five plus five points there then, but now the more tricky bit...) The same female singer also did backing vocals on an earlier single by this artist, released in 1980.
Okay, there you go. Got to answer all parts to get the points.

*loud applause* 20 points to Waxer.
According to the album I'm listening to, GWF was released in 1980 (on the 'Third Album' - clever title, huh!?) Now I've got to think of another one!
This male artist was a member of a VERY successful band in the sixties, and went on to have a 'peaceful' solo career (terminated by a bullet). Released a track in 1971, which was later covered by a successful 70s group. Five points each for male artist, 70s cover group and track title.
(I'm making this too easy!)

*louder applause* And that's another 15 points for Waxer. Okay, fingers on buzzers...
This human rights track was also on the 'Third Album', and covered by another band in the eighties. This other band also released a record about the troubles in Northern Ireland. Five points each for first track title, cover band, and their NI related single. (NO conferring, and must get all the parts correct to win the points!)

"What's the scores on the doors, me dear?"
*puffs out chest and applies artificial smile* "Well, so far, Waxer has 35, and everyone else has zero" *does silly little giggle and flutters eyelashes*

Okay, we'll give that one to the Duke! Here's a easy one now for ten points.
What is the title of the theme from 'The last of the Mohicans', and who is it by?
'sus
(I'm off to watch the TV for a while now. Back after 12.40am GMT, to award some points!)

C'mon, surely it's not that tough! Okay, a clue or two.
They also did the theme to a series about a certain 'villain' who used to live near Nottingham. (Cryptic perhaps, but I'm not giving it away!)
The title is also a quote from the film (which 'someone' round here has already mentioned in their comments on the subject!)

Catch you over the weekend maybe. Hey, we'll have to gather a few tinnies and all get together for some drunken keyboard bashing some time! Who knows what profound theories on life, the universe and everything we could come up with!
