Actually, I *can* say that Clelba didn't try. It would be a lie, but I could still say it.

Oh, I just got an idea! I'm really good at mad biological science, right? Clelba, hand me one of those cats, someone else hand me on of those pidgeons, and I'll get a gecko. I'll use their biological signatures to create a monster! All the deadly qualities of a lizard, the ability of pidgeons to fly, and weigh down statues/roads, and the cuteness of a kitten! A monster that is extremely deadly, yet is so cute that no one can refuse bringing it into their homes!

So it looks like it's back to the old mutants?.....

We could try dinosaurs as well. That was part of the original ideas. With a cross between a lizard and a pidgeon we can prove the bird->dinosaur or is it dinosaur->bird theory?

Or you'll get a furry lizard that wants to fly but can't.

Hmm... genetic engineering would neither prove evolutionary theories involving dinosaurs and birds (in the case of a lizard/cat/pidgeon mix), nor in the strictest sense be a "mutant" (since a mutantation is a random, natural occurance, and genetic engineering is something not quite random or natural).
