I read about get togethers in England and the U.S. how about the Canadians?
Anyone out there who's up for a get together in Canada? Preferably Alberta. Preferably Calgary or thereabouts. Don't let Douggie think Canadians just read The Farmer's Almanac and watch the weather channel for forcasts of snow!!

A Canadian get together is a great idea. I'm just new to the site but already enjoying it. Would love to get together with others. Unfortunately was in Calgary in July (not likely to go back anytime soon)... would be easier for me to get to something in the east. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if there are any other interested Canucks out there.

I'm interested, but the closest place for me is Peterborough, Ontario.

I am also interested, but I live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada's not exactly a compact place, is it...

well maybe we could do one in the west and one in the east if we get sufficeient numbers

then if they go well...could plan a national one... just have to see how many Canucks visit here and are interested.

I'm in Edmonton. Not in November though. And I'm in St. Catharines in November. Let me know.

How about London England, it's about the same distance (well, approximately) from all of Canada, so nobody's too put upon !

Hi Tigger. Airfare to London is probably cheaper than flying within Canada. I think you are right. However, we would probably have to plan about a year in advance in order to save enough money to go.

I watch with bated breath .....

It is not wise to hold your breath unless you are under water. As for the get-together, any ideas?

I'd like to see some sort of meeting in St. John's, Newfoundland. That way I wouldn't have to worry about airfare! Any other Newfs here?

Hello. We're in Manitoba. Any interest in a get together in Winnipeg? Its the closest major city to me. With the cost of gas (just had my pockets picked to buy gas for the truck today!!) travel is iffy!

That's one of the problems of living in the second largest country in the world. It's cheaper to get together here. ha ha ha

You mean on line? No kidding!!! At least in this forum we have Canadians from all over getting together. I've been chatting with people from all over the globe, but I was beginning to think I was the only Cannuck!! Nice to meet all of you.

I know what you mean, Barney. It's a pretty big site. You just have find the highest point and shout, I AM CANADIAN.

I've been shouting that in most of the forums I've been in. Its a great time though. Any way you can meet other people is a good experience, and this is such fin!!!
