If motorcyclists are happy with it, then I'm happy.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Jun 10, 2013
I've just two suggestions -
and revs just above tick over -- put a hyphen in tick-over. This makes it easier to understand and matches your other use of this term.
It's only noise, how to beat the noise equals speed fear
-- add a little punctuation to make this easier to understand:
It's only noise: how to beat the 'noise equals speed' fear
The sub-editor can sort out the other minor typos etc.

Just having a read at this now - looks good! I used to get very panicky about low-speed riding, spent ages practising in a deserted car-park.
Well done!

Please excuse my American ignorance ---but wibble? Is that a motorcycling technical term?

It's a Blackadder term.

Meaning what Gnomon? It's been a while since I saw the Blackadder series.

Meaning my head is rather confused and scrambled, I think I'll go lay down somewhere and pretend to be a slice of lemon 'til everything sorts itself out again...

Oh OK, thanks for that. Take it easy---you are doing great, guideML does require a learning curve and since you are into motorcycling you are surely brave enough to cope with the slings and arrows of peer-review. Take your time. Put up with our craziness in this dinosaur of a website. You'll do great.

thanks for the comments and reading my work. I am a bit of a Ludite when it comes to the techie stuff! tried to read the guide to the code etc, totally lost ( mind you it hasn't got a clutch!)

We'll never expect new members here to learn GuideML. Instead, this is why we have our fantastic sub editors.
Indeed, we are hoping that Pastey, our digital lead will be able to fix it so that our new version of the site - currently being tested - will eventually allow people just to type in text to a purpose-built editor. I say, eventually, because it is easier said than done.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Congratulations from me as well.
I think that FWR is away on holiday for a little while longer, so this should be a nice surprise on his return.
