They've contained the fire in my neighbourhood but the hills are still threatened all around me.I worry about the condors, deer, and mountain lions...

The fire department advised us not to feed the wild animals...
they're out of their normal habitat. They're bound to rely on humans for
some handouts(intentional or not!)

Yes, but it is better that they at least have to work for the food. If it becomes easier than foraging, they are in greater risk from us human than from the wild.
