Civilised Limerickers only
waiting4atickle Posted Mar 31, 2008
[I've just posted to the 'other' Classical thread, so it should be near the top of the MC list.]
How many Lim'rick threads do we need?
Seven's enough, you'll surely concede

No, one more won't hurt

No, one more won't hurt
Though it might disconcert
All those who'll accuse us of greed.

Gave our Charlotte Green a bouquet
Made out of barbed wire

The Beed - in its wisdom - one day
Gave our Charlotte Green a bouquet
Made out of barbed wire [Penny, how do you DO those emoticons?]
And prickly briar

just click on the pictures under the reply box when you type your reply. It will look like (but in lower case) in your message, but will give you a lovely piccie when you post. I expect there's a thread on here somewhere telling you all about it.
Now I need to think up a rhyme for bouquet...

The Beeb - in its wisdom - one day
Gave our Charlotte Green a bouquet
Made out of barbed wire
And some prickly briar
She ate it, now there's all hell to pay
[thanks Penny for the tips - but still can't see the things to click on][mental age of 3, me][plus visually challenged]
This is the only one I can do 'cos the clever gremlin inside my laptop translates it into a Nimage.

I 'spect we'll now have an outbreak of Smileys
Not if we all meet at Mother O'Riley's
Make mine a bubbly
